Synergism is the combined action of two or more substance, or agents, so that the outcome or effect is more than the single agent or substance.

In smokers there is an increase chance for upper gastrointestinal Cancer, also oral bacterial flora is also altered leading to oral infections. It also worsen lung conditions like COPD, Asthma, as well as increases chances for lung cancer than a non smoker.
