From energy conservation theorem energy neither be created, nor be destroyed. But it can be changed from one form to another form.

Every moving partical has kinetic energy. Moving cars, bicycles, falling bodies has kinetic energy. A vertically projected dody has initially kinetic energy, while it is moving up kinetic energy gradually transforms into Potential energy.

Current is nothing but flow of electrons. Inorder to move the electrons battery does some work. This work is supplied due to chemical reactions done in the battery. this chemical energy is converted into potential energy of the electrons. But the ion core of the wire opposes the motion of the electrons, as a result some part of the kinetic energy is converted into thermal energy.

we can observe above all instances in solar thermal power generation systems.

Sun energy is due to chemical energy. This chemical energy is converted into hea energy when it hits a solar collector. Collectors heats the fluids incontact with them. As a result these fluids converted into stem. This thermal energy is conveted into mechanical energy by moving a turbine. This mechanical energy is converted into electromagnetic energy through generators. As the mechanical vibrations, some part of this energy is converted into sound energy.
