discuss a common saying that could be considered a myth
Hi Answer:
Hare, I am discussing two most common saying which are just myths and have no scientific evidences.
1. Myth: We use our 10% of our brain and 90% of the brain is useless
Explanation: The common saying is that we use only 10% or our brain and rest 90% of our brain remains useless. This is the myth and its false, we use our brain maximum. An adult human brain has a weigh of few pounds and it needs about 20% of the total body glucose and oxygen. Various brain scan results proved that the whole organ is very much active and its working and use is 100% during the daytime.
2. Myth: Excessive talking on the cell phone causes cancer
Explanation: A myth is spread over several years that we talk on the cell phone for a long time it will cause cancer due to cell phone radiations, but actually there is no scientific proof behind this fact. It is seen that from last few years the cell phone is extensively used by everyone in our society and according to the myth there must be more cases of cancer but the actual data is just opposite to the myth from last few years the number of cancer cases is dropped in comparison to the cell phone use.
