Bioethics refers to the ethical issues arising in the fields of medicine and biology. One of the most important reasons to study the morality involved in these fields is that it involves human subjects and it would also engage in scientific advancements that would go beyond the traditional cultural and religious practices thus, may not get the approval of many people and authorities in the societies. Issues such as cloning, genetic engineering, organ donation, abortion, euthanasia etc. would fall in this category and it’s very important to make moral decisions and respect the autonomy of the individuals in question in order to ensure that they adhere to the ethical guidelines set. Thus, these advanced fields beyond normal human functioning should be constantly scrutinized and monitored for any ethical violation using bioethics.
