As we know there are four types of listening styles . They are mentioned below and let us discuss them one by one with examples .

1. Appreciative - This type of listening i experienced in the morning when i finished my workout and i was on the yoga mat and my eyes were closed . I belong to a mountain place so I was listening to the sounds of nature . I was truly absorbing the sounds of birds and insects . It was making me relax
2. Empathetic listening - This type of listening is practiced when my friend calls me . Her father is suffering from the last stage of cancer. She was telling me how she is feeling and how difficult it is for her to deal with the situation . I listened to her very empathetically and extended support .I tried creating an emotion sharing bond .
3. Critical listening - This type of listening I did when I was analyzing the stock market during the day. I was listening to an investor and was critically evaluating his advice with the help or more Gathered information.
4. Informational listening- This type of listening I practiced when I was watching a climate change documentary . I learned some new concepts about climate change and got some very useful information .
