Information and information system plays an vital role in any organization for its success.

In Today's world all information is stored in systems in electronic and digital form which is very important and confedential for the organization.

Need of Security of information systems arises because of cyber crime and frauds done internally or externally by fraudesters.

I have heard about various types of crimes which makes the need of security of information systems such as.

1.Hijacking

2.Physing

3.Masquarding

4.Cracking

5.Spoofing

6.Trap door

7.Trozen horses

8.Salami Technique etc

These are some examples of frauds which are carried over the internet to destroy, leaking ,modify of confidential information of the organization for destroying its reputation,assets and blacking for their own (fraudster) benefit.

Tally, Erp and various other softwares are used for accounting purposes.fraudesters modify, delete the information by leaking passwords.

So there should be strict control over security of the information system including accounting information system by securing new controls and other devices which will inform the user whenever anything happens.
