Moral relativism also called as ethical relativism is the philosophical terms which states that the moral judgment or decisions taken are either true or false depending on the particular point of view and that no standpoint is unique or superior to the other. The moral relativism describe as as there is o single right or wrong in any scenario and it all depends upon the pinto of view from where the incidence or decision is being evaluated.
When it comes to the idea of tolerance and respect of diverse people the moral relativism indeed fails to support the idea. This is because if the morality or the ethical values are relative to each culture then it means that the culture is not tolerant towards the universal idea of freedom and respect for the diverse cultures. If he morality is relative then there is no obligation in the culture of the people to be respectful and tolerant towards other culture as their perception is relative. And from the relative point of view there is no reason to be tolerant or respectful towards diverse people and their opinions as compared to being intolerant towards them. In both the scenario being tolerant or intolerant in terms of morality is not better then one another in moral relativism.
Therefore, when it comes to moral relativism it indeed fails to support the idea of tolerance and respect for diverse people and opinions due to lack of fundamental moral code of being tolerant and respectful towards the idea of tolerance and respect for diverse people and opinions because of relativistic moral standpoints.
