Mental health and poverty has been linked in research studies.people in state of poverty do not have access to good health care facilities and this lack of poor physical health can lead to poor mental health.Access to mental health care is not easy in poor conditions.Lack of knowledge of sound mental health and cultural and societal restrictions for them to seek help from a mental health proffessional is not accepted. There is always a stigma attatched to seeing a mental health professional or being diagnosed with a disorder.depression and anxiety are common in poor living conditions and this came from lack of money and education to people.Mental health issues are either considered a curse or evil influences in certain cultures.Acceptance of mental health issues is difficult in poverty mainly due to lack of knowledge and misconception of menatl health. They fail to realize that mental health is important as equal as to physical health.Good physical health leads to sound menatl health.
