1. Antibiotics are more effective when the bacteria causing an infection are actively growing. Why do you think this is? During which phase of growth( lag, log, stationary,or death) do you think antibiotics are most effective?
Antibiotics : a medicine that inhibits the growth of or destroy microorganisms
1) Antibiotics work by interfering with the bacterial cell wall and prevent bacteria from making copies of themselves
2) Antibiotics fight bacterial infections either by killing or slowing and suspending its growth they do this by attacking the cell wall or coating surrounding bacteria .interfering with bacteria reproduction.
3) sometimes ,however the number of bacteria is excessive and the immune system can not fight them all antibiotics are useful in this scenario.
Antibiotics most effective in following phase
The log phase is also the stage where bacteria are the most susceptible to the action of disinfectants and common antibiotics that affect protein, DNA , and Cell Wall synthesis
SUMMARY
Antibiotics is a substance commonly use to treat bacterial infection .it kill growth of bacteria and reduce infection level. and The log phase is also the stage where bacteria are the most susceptible to the action of disinfectants and common antibiotics that affect protein, DNA , and Cell Wall synthesis
