Is “Ethics” for leaders any different that for followers, or should it be?
Ans. - Yes, "Ethics" for leaders is completely different than "Ethics" for followers.
Ethics is very important for leaders as it talks about any leader's actions, behavior, personality etc. It is less important for followers as they just follow their leader's activities.
An Ethical leader has many characteristics like:-
1> Respect others - A leader respects others. He/she will give instructions to followers. But at the same time, he/she will respect their feelings, hopes, skills etc.
2> Always serve others - A leader serves followers. He/she will try to keep their demand in front of his/her interests.
3> Take right decision - A leader should be fair and always take right decisions. If there is a problem among followers then a leader should be aware of the problem from A to Z before taking a decision. He/she should try to give justice to every follower.
4> Make groups of followers - A leader will make community/group of followers. So the followers will share their decisions/thoughts between them before a leader will know their decisions. This will help a leader to know about total group interests instead of an individual interest.
5> Honest behavior - A leader will be honest and faithful always. He/She will try to gain respect from the followers by showing his/her honest activities. He/she will explain any situation to followers and will not try to cheat on them.
These all make a leader different from his/her followers.
