While this chapter discussed the many benefits of diversity, an alternative view suggests that no empirical evidence exists to show that a diverse workforce has a positive effect on organizational performance, employee commitment, and employee satisfaction. In fact, anecdotal evidence indicates that diversity can negatively affect business performance because of the possibility for internal conflict, dissension, and turnover. What is your reaction to this perspective in light of the content of this chapter? Do these arguments have merit? Why or why not?

Increasing and improving workplace diversity has become an important issue for management in the recent years due to the recognition of how the workplace is changing. Since managing diversity still remains a challenge in organisations, Organisations Find it difficult to manage and train people from different culture and tradition according to their organisation culture. Workforce manager lacks required skills to manage diverse workforce.
Therefore Workforce diversity may have both positive and negative impact on organisation . However negative impacts can be turned into positive with the help of effective learning and skill of workforce management.
Yes the these arguments have merit because it discuss the impact of diverse workforce on the organisation which helps us to no the strength and weaknesses of organisation by which we can use organisation's strength and deal effectively to reduce weaknesses in management.
