1: In every medical services rendered by a hospital, it is a financial obligation of each patient to pay after each service for professional fee, medical equipment, facilities, supplies and any medical services incurred during the encounter.
2: Banking procedures in the ambulatory care setting . *Health care facilities use bank accounts to deposit & to pay their operational expenses by check or credit card . * Making deposits daily. * Preparing the deposit- you need to record how much of it is cash & how much of it is in check from. * The check number needs to be recorded with how much it is worth. *Check endorsement- it is a signature plus any other writing on the back of a check . *It can be done in pen or by rubber stamp. 3: Precautions for accepting the following types of payments. Cash: make sure the money is not counterfeit, establish a checks and balance system in which the employee accepting the cash must document on a register, the change cannot be made to any large bills. check: when you receive a check verify that it was written for the right amount, the check must include personal and banking information, the following details should be correctly written: 1) complete name of the payer .2) current date 3)Bank I'd numbers including account 4) payee name 5)dollar amount 6) signature. Credit card & debit card: make sure the person presenting the card is the person to whom the card was issued
