Diversity Management in an organization refers to a place where different people with their different background, culture, tradition, customs, color, religion, caste, creed works together and are valued and respected and they contribute to the growth of the company. To develop a program for managing diversity requires the following things:
1. A vision and a mission statement which could be building a talented diverse hub with educating and providing proper communication among the employees.
2. Fostering the role of leadership for desired behaviors as they will be training the employees
3. Making all the employees participate in the program
4. Having absolutely no biases in HR activities starting from selection, recruitment till the exit interviews. Giving benefits, holidays by respecting their cultural functions and festivals.
5. Individual goals handed over to employees and review of those goals
6. Making accountable to everyone and providing them responsibility
7. Linking strategic HRM, Affirmative employment plan, office operating plans, and other organizational plans with diversity management
8. Having interactive sessions, brainstorming sessions, role-plays will enhance the cohesiveness among employees
9. Measuring the outcome of diversity management by quizzes, surveys, and ethical questionnaires.
10. Removing barriers to cultural diversity by resolving the disputes (if any).
