Globalization has become quite prevalent in the past few decades. Businesses are impacted by globalization tremendously as it gives them the opportunity to grow and trade internationally, hire competent workers from abroad and also procure resources that might be cheaper outside their country's boundaries.

With respect to diversity, globalization has affected most companies and their employees both positively and negatively.
On the positive side, diverse employees bring in new ideas and ways of solving complex problems that a company would not have been able to with their existing staff. There is room for all members in the company to learn from one another and diversity could be a good thing in gaining insights about other cultures from a management or marketing stand point.
On the negative side, companies have the challenge to train new workers from diverse backgrounds who might have different opinions, values, beliefs that might align with other coworkers. There are also issues with language barriers and communication might not be at its best. Companies also have to invest time and costs in training the employees about diversity training and lay out protocols in case of discrimination and harassment
