At the end of your educational journey will you have more, less, or the same amount of education as your parents? Do you think the value of a degree has increased or decreased from the past to the present? What evidence informs your belief about the value of education?
Hidden curriculum is side effect of education which are learned but not openly intended. Those may be cultural expectations, norms, social class, stereotypes etc. I did experience hidden curriculum in education, I experienced about culture.
Indian education system those days was not liberal or it was more theoretic and not practical. Schools and education was given a lot of importance over anything else. I have more education than my parents. I think that value at that time was also great since a few people did it. Today it also stands as great depending upon which institution you take up. Hence the degree value has not changed over a period of time. Only people giving importance to it have increased from past to present.
