The information contributed by the interior designer to the electrical drawings are enlisted below:
1) Incoming power lines: Incoming power lines and their voltage, size, capacity and rating should be mentioned.
2) Outlets, switches nd fixtures: Various electrical outlets, switches and lighting fixtures with their types should be indicated.
3) Large applications: The equipments and appliances which require more electricity should be indicated seperately with their power needs.
4) Communication system equipment:
The outlets of different communication system equipment like phones and computers should be shown clearly.
5) Equipment rooms: An interior designer should also fix the location and the size of different equipment rooms viz electrical closets and switching room in the drawing with the coordination of electrical engineer.
6) Secondry source of energy: Secondary source of energy like batteries, solar panels, generators etc with their voltage and size.
7) Security devices: If there is any security device like smoke detector/ fire detector then it should be indicated properly in the drawing.
