State the chief assumptions of the contextual perspective. Needs to be about 80 words if possible and is in reference to the book ' A child's world through adolescence 13th edition'
The chief assumptions of the contextual perspective are as following:
1. Brain and body interdependence: - in this assumption, children or students are encouraged to understandthe mutual relationship and working of body and brain to explain the basic events happening around them.
2. Guidance from more advanced (elderly grown up person) individuals: - in this assumption a grown up mature adult helps a child or student in learning and clearing his/her doubts.
3. Collaborative co-construction of meaning: - in this assumption, students are divided in small groups and are encouraged to discuss and find a probable solution. There is no wrong or right interpretation of their answers and logics.
4. Situated nature of learning and cognition: - Children or students are made to use their existing and newly learnt knowledge to understand the problems and completing given tasks.
5. Distributed nature of cognition and learning: - In this method, they are provided all the sources and required tools to solve the given problem. They are encouraged to work in groups and discuss the problem among themselves.
