Describe the importance of phospholipids in maintaining protein function stability.
Phospholipids are lipids in which glycerol binds to tow fatty acid molecules one which is unsaturated fatty acid and other saturated fatty acid. The third carbon molecules binds to the phosphate group which si called as phospholipids where the polar head groups are charged and hydrophobic end contain non charged molecules. They are present around cell as membranes which are present in double layer and double membrane, hydrophobic ends face the inside environment of cell and hydrophilic layers face the outside of environment. Due to this baitlayer the phospholipids is selective membrane allowing the passage of selected molecules inside the cell with help of proteins channels. The baitlayer membrane forms and intact structure and provides the stability to cell and maintains the shape of cell. Phospholipids act as selective membrane which allows the flow the selective particles only through selected channels thus maintaining the cell concentration in equilibrium.
