A schedule management plan should include the methodology used to create the schedule. The schedule management plan should also include the duration of each activity and the efforts required for those activities. All of this should establish the project baseline. This baseline is to be used to monitor and control the project during various phases” (Project Management Institute, 2018)

Project schedule management consists of policies and documents for maintaing,controlling and managing the schedules for completing the project in a given timeline with the available resources

It consists of 5 steps

-Defining the activities by using work breakdown structure.Draw a diagram for Work breakdown so that it would be easy to ensure what activities are included in the schedule

-Sequence the activities so that it helps to establish a relation between the project activities.The ordering of tasks and their dependencies can be identified easily

-Estimate a time schedule to complete the project

-Determine the dependencies so that one task can be finished after the other in a orderly manner

-Assign resources to finish the planned schedule

2.Benefits of using project management approach:

-It helps to organize the project timelines

-it provides techniques and tools, so that project cost and time can be estimated accurately

-Helps to identify risks and provide solutions to it so that damages and risks can be reduced to a large extent

-It helps to develop skills of employees,team members etc.

-It helps to improve the cost benefit relationship of resources

-It improves the chances to get the desired result by giving a good perspective for the project
