Answer of Question 1: Phospholipid molecule is made up of two a hydrophilic head which contain a phosphate group and two fatty acid tails which are hydrophobic in nature. These two components are usually remain joined together by a glycerol.
Phospholipid bilayer is consist of amphipathic phospholipids which have hydrophobic fatty acid tails and hydrophilic phosphate containing heads arranged in two layers.
Question of Answer 2:
The outer side and inner side of the plasma membrane contain hydrophlic phosphate heads while intermediate portion contain hydrophobic core these two layers are arranged in a head to tail fashion. These hydrophobic core allows only lipid soluble small molecules to pass while specific protein channels or receptors remain embedded in the plasma membrane which help in transport of ions or larger polar molecules by facilitated diffusion or by active transport.
