Instructions: In this assignment, you use linear regression to calculate the expected after exercising heart rate.
Steps:
1. Open the Heart Rate database and identify the X-variable (resting) and the Y-variable (after exercise).
2. Use the Scatter Plot function in the Insert Charts section of Excel to create a scatter plot of the X and Y variables
3. Add a trendline to the scatter plot (Find and View a YouTube video on how to do this if you need help)
4. Use the Data Analysis tools in Excel to perform regression analysis on the X and Y variables

1.Bring data in to excel sheet and selet restind and after exercise data.
2. Go to insert tab and choose scatter plot diagram.
3. right click on the chart and choose add trendline option.
4.select the trendline , right click and choose format trendline.
5. select linear as trendline option and check last three option ( set intercept, display equation chart on chart)
6. Go to dta--> data analysis and choose regression .
7. select X and Y variables and populate the regression analysis summary report.

If the points cluster in a band running from lower left to upper right, there is a positive correlation (if x increases, y increases)
so the releationship between X and Y variable is positive correlation

The slope and the intercept define the linear relationship between two variables, and can be used to estimate an average rate of change. The greater the magnitude of the slope, the steeper the line and the greater the rate of change.
By examining the equation of a line, you quickly can discern its slope and y-intercept (where the line crosses the y-axis).
