This sensation is due to a disease called as "Metatarsalgia".
This is a kind of ache or pain that happens in ball of foot or this region is also known as metatarsal region.
This ache can be modest or heavy and may become more severe when we stand or move anywhere.This is also known as a burning or paining sensation and these patients can also have a shooting aches and prickling or paralysis in toes.Some other individuals get a sensation which feels like walking on stones.

Normally this disease is caused due to the damages in the long bones present in the foot that joins the ankle bones to bones present in the toes.

Some of the treatment methods for this disease include,

* Using ice pack

* Utilizing a bandage to press the foot and raising the foot.

* Using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen.( This helps in reducing the pain)

* Utilizing shock-absorbing insoles.
