relating to cultural change in organizations. Provide examples that you have seen in your own work life.
The cultural changes in the organization that i have witnessed at my workplace was with respect to the structure and leadership style. My organization previously followed an authoritative leadership style. As the time progressed it brought some essential changes in its leadership style by adopting laissez fire style of leadership which encourages the employees to instill innovation, creativity, new ideas and initiatives into the working methods and tasks so that competitive advantage us gained I the market with stiff competition.
The cultural change also incorporated participative management where employees who were in direct contact with customers were now involved in decision making and had a say regarding policies and product revisions or development. The laissez Faire style of leadership also meant that employees could now adjust their work methods to the prevailing environmental conditions.
The another example is relating to the hiring of employees which included only the natives, but as the company grew it managed to diversify its workforce by providing opportunity to the applicants from different nationality or ethnicity to join and be a part of the organization.
