What are some of the costs and benefits to living in cities, the countryside, and suburbs? How do each impact each other? Be specific by using Sociological concepts and your own experience in the places you have lived.
City life is more of the capitalist charachter and all have the firm views because of the everyday struggle that people need to do. Hence here we can see that sociological norms such as earning money, saving, investing takes more shape than any other. Whereas as I said due to the everyday struggle women also develope their own views and are quite assertive about it. Such as work life balance, demanding for equal wages, doing house hold work together etc are the things. So feminist theory plays an important role
Subarbs life - Subarbs life have more industries than the resedntial area. the Suburb life develops because of the industries placed and then it follows resedential area. Here it is mix of the country side and city life, the capitalist do not play a major role as city people. The socilazation is important aspect because people over here tend to socialize as lot. And the socilization is not aimed at making money or forming any NGO groups etc. People tend to socalize out of enjoy.
Country side life - People living in countryside life have major belief in values and norms. They value a particular religion, thout or any system. Since their life is not rushful as the city ones they have enough of time to believe in all these. We can see that country side people still live in joint families, hence norms also play an important role such as how much the woman should earn, which job she should do?
The media is the contributor of passing the ideas more often. Or even a person who desires growth and belongs to country side, would often go in suburbas and then city to settle down. Whereas the pensioners who want to have peace search it in country side. People also travel to country side because they want to have quiet life. People also respect the values and norms from counrtry side and try to incorportae them and vice versa
