Question

In: Chemistry

A certain weak base has a Kb of 8.00

A certain weak base has a Kb of 8.00

Solutions

Expert Solution

Given pH = 10.26

WE know that pH + pOH = 14

So pOH = 14 - pH

            = 14 - 10.26

           = 3.74

pOH = - log[OH- ] = 3.74

                [OH- ] = 10 -3.74 = 1.82x10 -4 M

Now we know that                     c = concentration = ?

concentration of this base is 0.04 M
