How can sewage treatment that combines both aeration and sedimentation in the same tank can be improve to treat high concentration of ammonia?
High concentration of ammonia in water is due to the amount of Nitrogen present in it. All nitrogen intake should be stopped. Around 15% of glucose Intralipid should also be provided and plasma Ammonium level should be checked after every 8 hours. These were some techniques by which we can prevent high concentration of ammonia in water and now we will deal with treat ment of water Containing high amount of ammonia by combining the aeration and sedimentation in same tank. These techniques are specially designed for sewage treatment containing high amount of nitrogen in water. Aeration has the tendency to improve water quality initially and the heavier particles will settle down and the lighter particles will be removed by aeration. By this both types of impurities are being removed and water is being flowed into the channels in the treated manner. It can also be performed in laboratories to check the quality and implement at higher levels where the tank size is very high. Customised PVC tanks are being used here and homogenous sediments are being injected in different tanks which are being experimented. Aeration is being performed with pore pipe of small diameter. All the sediment aeration and water aeration is being terminated after around 48 days of starting of the experiment resulting in good quality of water regularly. The benefits of this method is not only limited to lakes and ponds near electrical power sources. Most importantly the improved Quality DO and water circulation will also help in reducing the accumulation of sediments at the bottom of lakes, ponds and rivers.
