Case Incident 1 Apple goes global.... Question1-23. How could managers use increased worker flexibility and diligence to increase the competitiveness of their manufacturing sites? what would you recommend?

The managers at Apple Incorporation need to ensure that their workers stay motivated and committed to their work duties and responsibilities in order to contribute to the smooth flow of operations globally. . It is important for the managers to take into consideration the individualised interests of workers so that they perform optimally and utilise the resources at hand efficiently which will in turn lead to increased competitiveness of production and operations facility.

I will recommend the company to maintain a healthy working environment in all of its manufacturing sites so that employees and workers find a sense of belongingness, and mental wellbeing while working. Keeping away from mental stess, work overload or unhygienic working conditions is important otherwise there can be an increase in absenteeism and decrease in work efficiency of workers which can hamper the competitiveness of the company.  

The another most important thing that i recommend to the company's global manufacturing operations is the Work flexibility so that the employees can balance between their work and personal life. Providing enough flexibility in working hours and providing fair compensation, paid leaves and holidays is important role keep them diligent towards their work. This will enable the workers to cater to their personal life responsibilities while also managing their work ethics thus leading to increased concentration, focus and diligence towards work.

The increased flexibility and diligence of workers towards work wil help the apple, ie a globally operating company to reduce the cost and produce desired results through providing positive work environment which encourages employee loyalty and commitment.
