Human resource plan the compensation and benefits for people. This function includes designing the pay and salary for employees based on their role, level, job type etc., designing the employee benefits system and non-financial rewards. Most of the time employees are not aware about the organizational spending for employee benefits and they might not perceive its true value effectively. So, in order to have a better understanding about the benefits, organization conduct different benefit programs like benefits workshops, employee meetings and social networking tools so that the benefit programs can be valued by the employees.

Most of the employees benefits we receive from our employers are provided "tax free". The reasons are:-

  • To give the employees value from which they can get benefited.
  • Employees will have job satisfaction
  • Employees will be committed to better performance
  • Employees will get motivated to meet the goal.

I think the most critical paid time off benefts an employer can provide is paid sick leaves. This will be valued by the employees and it will result in employee engagement and retention. This is the part of total compensation strategy and can be used to attract best talents. This benefit will make the employee get connected to the organization and it provide them assurance that company care about them.
