● In Rational Method drainage area is less than 50 acres while in the SCS Method drainage area is greater than 20 acres.

● Also the SCS method should only be used when the Curve Number exceeds 50 and the time of concentration is greater than 0.1 hr and less than 10 hr.

◆ USGS regression method are being used for regression analysis of the water quality constrains.Frequency and magnitude of the water flow is being determined by this process.

● Difference between the two methods are that the stream stats method is a method in which modern technology is being used where as the regression method is a field method.

● This is the main difference between the two is about the concept that is being used to determine the magnitude and the frequency of the flow.

●The better method among the two is the USGS regression method as it is more easy and more useful as this is field method and it would be easy to use.
