Describe two different implications of increasing human populations.
1. Increased rate of resource depletion
Living beings need resources to live. Humans in particular need much more resources than other animals or plants. We need electricity, three meals a day, clothing, WiFi, etc. The more humans there are, the more resources are needed to maintain the population well-fed, clothed, and lit. And those products and services needed for human survival are obtained from farming, coal burning, and other actvities, which slowly deplete the resources of an area in order to satisfy the human population. The bigger this popultion, the more resurces needed to maintain it. Thus an increase in the rate of resource depletion happens.
2. Cultural clashes
An increment in human population most likely means that there is an influx of people from other areas to a new area. Say, people from war zones or from rural areas move to the city in search of a better future. Because of this, cultural clashes a bound to happen. People going from Syria to the United States, for example, have completely different conceptions of good and evil, human rights, etc. And there will be disagreements between these populations, siply because they are that different. Same happens with people leaving rural areas of the same country to live in the city. And the more populated a city is, the more likely these cultural clashes will happen.
