Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) has the potential to provide whole body molecular imaging without injection of any imaging agents.
Why hasn’t MRS taken the place of nuclear medicine molecular imaging (which has the risk of radiation)? Are there possible solutions to the challenges?
Reseachers are doing very well in the filed of imaging optics day by day .we have to understand why we need a new technique ,as we know that there are so many diagnostic imaging techniques like CT,X rays ,Ultrasound while In X ray technique we have risk of radiation yet we prefer because of resolving power of that technique.
Key point for the invention of new technique is first resolving power and second how precise we get result.
merit of nuclear medicine molecular imaging is that it provides information which is unattainable with other imaging techniques and it identify disease in its earliest stages and determine the exact location of the tumor .
so we can say that nuclear molecular imaging gives more precise result as compare to the MRS .
may be in future with new techniques and addition of new components in MRS it can also give precise result as nuclear medicine molecular imaging .
