Documentation required for Phlebotomy technician e-xam or PBT e-xam
Route 1
- MLT(ASCP) certification.
Route 2
- valid DPT certification
- with 100 non donor blood collection including venipuncture and skin punctur in the recognise or accredited laboratory
Route 3
- graduation or equivalent
- phlebotomy training from the public health institutions which is recognised within last 5 years.
Route 4
- graduation or equivalent
- registered RN, LPN or other accredited health care professional with phlebotomy training program.
With accreditation of 100 successful unaided blood collection including venipuncture or skin puncture.
Route 5.
- graduation or equivalent
- phlebotomy programs approved by NAACLS within last five years.
Route 6.
- graduation or equivalent
- one year full time working as a phlebotomy technician in the recognised laboratory including venupuncture and skin puncture. With 5 years.
Route 7.
- high school graduation or equivalent
- completion of phlebotomy programs which is 2 part, within last 5 years.with should contain 40 clock hours of college or classroom training, which teaches about physiology and anatomy, specimen collection ( Venu and skin puncture). Carful handling of specimens.
It also includes 100 hours of clinical training and 100 successful unaided venupuncture and skin puncture with oriemorient of accredited laboratory.
