BUILDING LITERACY IN THE K-12 CLASSROOM:

In the 21st century learning strategy and tools used in class K-12 and teaching methodology, strategy and tools are planned to develop skills and forfiting the knowledge of the students. VArious strategies like Digital literacy, information strategy and literacy design collaborations are essentially focused by all teachers.

Digital literacy is concerned,

• Use of Skype is very useful to connect and also to communicate, discuss and share the views to others over the internet.
• Use of ipads in learning classes are essentially blendd with new age generations environments.
• More gaming apps can also helpful to develop skill sets of new generations.
• Smartboard technoly to present discovery lessons are prompt in classrooms.
• Cultural and geographic concepts Google Earth will be effective.
• Ipads, internet and smart boards are also used to have virtual field trips for the students which is more interesting and provides more informations to learners.
• Through internet blogs are most important to be maintained by the students inorder to share the concepts, views, experiences and other relevent matters so that they can get exposure with all experts related with field.

Information literacy is concerned,

• Use of pictures, audios, vedios in earlier days are used for effetive language and information classes. Even now a days these technologies are used for efefctive teaching and learning skills.
• Use of text, graphics and other technology resources are used for effective learning in smart classroom environments.
• Verbal interaction with the use of technological resources plays an important part in smart class room.

* Identifying the concepts which are to be discussed in the class room environment to enhance the students are      important.

* Generating and enduring the understanding and generating essential questions

* Selecting text is very important to help the understanding capacity of learners.

Designing lesson scequences and creating daily tasks are also important which allow the students to show their skills and knowledge which is more complecated at the end of task.
