From what has been experienced with other organizations, larger companies are more likely to have a formal training programs, while smaller companies may be more inclined for the less formal more hands on approach. I do believe that in both environments, the more options the employees have, then the greater the potential to lean and fully execute the process as a whole, once in the newly implemented work mode. For the most part, the material will be uniform, but the more options that are available for training, the better off for the employees to learn to the best of their abilities. Your thoughts?
Options in the training provide a platform to the newly joined employees or even trainees, to explore in their own way what is the Organization all about and how shall their new job profile be enriched or made interesting. This is so because they get to see the job profile from a broader perspective. From each of the training options, a person tries to observe the profile in a different manner. When training offers such a variety, certainly the mind is more actively participating in the ‘learning job’. In fact, the boredom or monotony in the regular form of training, might not make the same very beneficial for a new joinee or an intern. However, even in a small Organization, efforts could be made to design the training activity in a manner that the employees feel that they are being motivated to indulge in certain activity in a different way. The activity could be just a regular one but options in the training shall help to look upon the same from a varied perspective. This shall help to bring a positive change in the system, if need by and the employees shall also feel involved in the process.
