The project indeed met the project success triple constraint of being completed within the specified time, cost, and specifications. However, the project did not "have a high return on the organization's investment" nor was it the right "project [to be] selected and implemented by the IBR Airport prefecture in the first place" If you were a part of the Ibaraki Airport project, what changes would you have recommended in order to make this project a success? Do you feel that the stakeholders approved this project as it aligned with their business objectives or do you believe it was a 'pet-project'? Must contain 200 words or more.
Changes that are required to make the project successful are:
1) Having the best team:
This point states that if your team is not the best, then you can't achieve your team goals as well as your organisational goals. You must work on the project having the best team so that if any difficulty occurs, then whole members of the team should work together and win over that difficulty.
2) Support from the management:
This point states that you can only make your project a successful project if you get full support from your organisation management. Without any support from them, you can't achieve your goals. Control of the organisation can help you in various ways like financially, providing extra members in the team etc.
3) The clear mindset about Organizational goals:
This point states that if you have made up your mind to work harder and smarter together then you have full chances to achieve your organisational goals, but if you haven't set your targets, goals and you have started working on them then you can't make your goals. You need to work with a proper strategy to fulfil organisational aims.
If the project is significant, then it is evident that it has received a permit from the Organizational stakeholders as well. Without telling them about any big project, no organisation can initiate any project. They have the right to know about everything going in the organization. And if the project doesn't go as you think it should went, then you shouldn't worry about it because not every time you will find success. Work harder in future to have a successful project.
