Draw the circuit required to obtain the characteristic current voltage curve of the common emitter NPN silicon transistor. Show how this circuit works. Draw the voltage sources in the circuit, potential disconnectors, current lines, voltage drops measurement devices, circuit elements.
NPN
TRANSISTOR :- A junction transistor consists of silicon or
germanium crystal in which a layer of p type is sandwiched between
two layers of n type silicon such a transistor is called NPN
transistor. A junction transistor is a bipolar device in which the
current conduction is due to electron as well as holes thus the
junction transistor is called as Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT).
It is capable of providing amplifier. NPN (negative - positive -
negative) Transistor have three terminals I.e; emitter, base and
collector and two junctions I.e; emitter junction, collector
junction.
COMMON EMITTER configuration using bipolar NPN Transistor with an example of construction of a NPN Transistor along with the transistors current flow characteristics is given below.
