What is the manufacturing process of CMUs?

What is the manufacturing process of CMUs?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Materials required:

Aggregates and cement.

Manufacturing Process:

1.Mixing

2.Molding

3.Curing

4.cubing and storing

These four steps are involved.

1.Mixing:

The water is added to both aggregates and concrete. The water is should be controlled using electronic measuring system to check that the mixture should not be too wet or too dry.It takes atleast 6-8 minutes.

2.Molding:

Molding the concrete is the next step in manufacturing the CMU.

In this a proper compression is required for quality product. The materils are turns into molds at measured flow rate. it results in strength of the block.

3.Curing:

Curing is most important process,in this the pallets are moved to carts which will travel into low-pressure steam kiln to be heated.whenever the top temperature is reached, the steam and heat are shuts off and the block cure for 12-18 hours in hot .

4.Cubing and Storing:

After completion of curing the concrete Mansory block is taken out of the kiln. Each block is unstacked and placed on conveyor.then they move on to cubing system in which it stacks the blocks on wood pallet.

And we wrap the cube in plastic for security and protection from the elements.

Hope you understand this.

Any doubts comment me.

The percent defective for parts produced by a manufacturing process is targeted at 4%. The process is monitored daily by taking samples of sizes n = 160 units. Suppose that today’s sample contains 14 defectives. Determine a 88% confidence interval for the proportion defective for the process today. Place your LOWER limit, rounded to 3 decimal places, in the first blank. For example, 0.123 would be a legitimate answer. Place your UPPER limit, rounded to 3 decimal places, in the...

Job order manufacturing and process manufacturing are two major costing systems used in manufacturing. The unique feature for process costing system is the concept of equivalent units. Read chapter 16 and answer below questions: 1) What is meant by equivalent units of production, and why are they important when a process cost accounting system is used? 2) Briefly explain the conditions under which job order cost accounting systems and process cost accounting systems are commonly applied. 3) What's the difference...
