The human race is generally divided into male and female by birth. Transgender is an umbrella term used for the people whose gender identity is not clear. They exist in all the part of the world, the term is being used from the 20th century onwards. There are about 700,000 transgender in the US and 3.5 percent of the population is LGBTQ.

Transgender society is a very diverse society. Due to social stigma, some of them identify themselves as male or some of them identify as female, or outside of the spectrum of what we called as male or female.

They are facing many problems on different fronts like distress and impairment that arises due to discrimination, stigma, lack of acceptance and abuse in their daily life, on regular basis. Due to the fear of stigma, they avoid healthcare professions and reach for addictive abuse, that gives rise to 81 percent increased risk in adverse emotional and physical disorders.

Transgender find it difficult to vote as the sex identity is required as the photo identity used by the system some cannot identify their sex identity and can be deprived of voting, 41 % reported of being harassed in the institution where their gender identity did not match,

The lack of employment they are poor earning less than 10000 US dollar per annum, there is much transgender who is homeless, these numbers go higher in case of color transgender.

Healthcare professionals are not competent professionally to treat transgender, many of the refuse treating them. It was found in surveys that 20 percent of respondents had been refused medical care outright because of bias.

The research study carried out in these respect shows that a human has the identity as male or female by birth, there are few people whose identity cannot be identified by birth or it gets changed later on due to some hormonal imbalances, or a male body trapped in a female body or vice versa.

The rights like identification employment, education, legal rights, and healthcare rights all are developed on the basis of genders, and if the gender is not identified then it becomes transgender and it becomes a problem to avail all the above-mentioned rights. Healthcare is one of the most affected areas where it becomes difficult to get proper care, a lack of acceptance in the social and medical field is catastrophic. Most of the medical training exclude adequate education around transgender health, it is a lack in the medical profession.

The legal experts are working to correct these lacks and trying to have critical changes, that is why the Human Rights campaign are advocating and supporting transgender to fill the gap in social and economic disparity, by proving employment and equal voting rights and no more identity crisis.
