1. Senior Advocacy Services:

Senior Advocacy Services is a California based Non-Profit Organization (NGO) working on the Rights issues for the elderly. Their slogan is “One Agency, Three Programs”.

The Mission of SAS is to educate and advocate for the Rights of the elderly and other people who need help or support in the matter of Medicare, issues related to Senior Justice or advocacy in Long Term Care setting.

It is the unique because it provides services on three issues simultaneously. Viz.:

  1. Long Term Care Ombudsman,
  2. Elder Justice Initiative and Medicare Health Insurance Counselling, and
  3. Advocacy Program.

2. World Health Organization (WHO)

World Health Organization (WHO) is a world famous Agency which needs to introduction. It runs several Health programs and advocates for the related issues especially for the developing world. One such advocacy program run by WHO is, ‘Mental Health Advocacy’.

Mission: It aims to promote the Human Rights of people with Mental Disorders and to reduce the associated Stigma and Discrimination in the society.

Its services consist of actions directed to change the major structural and attitudinal barriers to achieve positive mental health outcomes among population.
