Aseda is 12years old and in class six. Describe the development
changes she is likely to be experiencing according to Piaget and
Erik Erikson Theories.
According to Piaget Theory:
(1)Aseda is in Concrete operational stage.
(2) She can now conserve and think logically.
(3) She also understands reversibility.
(4)Her behaviour may be limited to what she can physically manipulate.
(5)She is no longer egocentric now.
(6)She is now more aware of logic and conservation.
(7)She now understands the topics previously foreign to her.
(8)She may also have improved drastically with her classification skills.
According to Erik Erikson Theory:
(1)Aseda is in fifth stage of Erik Erikson's theory of psychosocial development (Identity vs. Role Confusion).
(2)She may have started to search for a sense of self and personal identity, through an intense exploration of personal values, beliefs, and goals.
(3)She might have become more independent, and begin to look at the future in terms of career, relationships, families, housing, etc.
(4)She might want to belong to a society and fit in.
(5)This is a major stage of development where she has to learn the role she will occupy as an adult.
(6)It is during this stage that she will re-examine her identity and try to find out exactly who she is.
