Suppose that you have a company that is interested in entering the market for energy drinks. You will be competing with companies such as Rockstar, Red Bull and Monster.
In this exercise, come up with your own marketing campaign that will truly set you apart from the hundreds of energy drink manufacturers. You are free to use real or fictional brand names. You need to present your ad in an 8.5”X 11” paper in Word. You may use any technique available to you (hand-drawn, collage, computer printed, etc.), as long as it fits into the 8.5X11 paper. Upload files in pdf, doc or docx format only.
Nowadays, studying the market scenario, we want to launch a Energy Drink, We have named it "Boom" already. There are the basic things we will do before launching the same :
• Market survey of projected customers, retailers and their feedback about existing giant companies e.g. Red Bull, Rockstar, Monstar. Their Positive as well as negative points. Retailers are one of the most valuable thing for selling a new product, as they have existing customer base and those customers obey them in 50-50 proportion.
Providing the retailer a good amount of margin will definitely grow us towards the establishment.
• If you go through the ingredients that maximum number of product contains, the common ingredient is caffeine, which is harmful if consume it in a higher dose on a daily basis. We will try to reduce a little quantity of caffeine and replace it with Vitamin B12, Iron, Creatine etc so that the productivity remains as it is. As caffeine helps developing energy in human body, the alternatives are not harmful and doing the same work caffeine does.
And while doing the marketing, our USP ( Unique Selling Proposition ) will be to highlight the same thing, "less harmful".
• We will promote the drink through Television, FM stations, Digital Media (e.g Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google) and for the same we will require Brand Ambassador. I assume a sports personality will be the best option for the above.
• Our focus will be on the sport programmes, as Red bull is also doing the same and leading the market.
•Bannering, Glow Shine Boards, Leafleting through the area where I will launch the drink.
• Depending on the market survey we will try to lower the charges of the drink, but that to a bit, we will not allow the projected customers to assume that we have a low quality product.
• To promote the business some of our "Boom" Cans will be given to the local sport clubs. And they will be requested to allow us to put some advertisement near their club location and nearby.
• We will create a curiosity in the projected market before launching the product, by doing some TV commercials where the said product will be suspicious.
This are the key points I do have for basic marketing strategies. Incase any of the above fails we will imply more ideas as per situation demand.
