Early Termination Procedure?

Early termination of project does not mean that project is failed.Every project needs to be end at some point.A project termination leads to project end or stopped in between for a variety of reasons.It includes project successful completion or failure.Either its failure or success there are procedures that needs to be followed by the organization.For further legal issues,related to the project closure.Let's discuss the early termination procedures:

  • Identifying/testing the Project results during the early termination project will be tested for any further issues in the project

  • Project review or project past phase where project will be reviewed by all the management along with clients

  • Submit the final performance report of the project submit all documents and information related to clients

  • Developing closing procedures needs to be followed to avoid any further issues related to the project.In other words its define as closing the legal contract.

  • Complete construct closures that are included with the project.

  • Formal acceptance from both the parties(organization and client or customer) after analyzing the complete project acceptance documents will be signed by both the parties.

  • Relevant project documents for future search and reference means project design ,processing and results related documents will be submitted to the client for their future reference.

  • Hand of complete project to the client or stakeholder

  • Releasing resources referred to release of funds that assigned to that particular project.

This is completely depends of the organization behaviour and success rate of projects in the market.Its all depends on the organization success rate in the market and its behaviour in delivery previous projects.Even PIR(Project Implementation Review) also helps to identify the project success.The project success depends on:

  • Budget: Budget is more important because based on budget that used to complete the project is within or out of budget.

  • Quality: The project quality is more required if a project said to be success.The complete project success depends on the project quality.Every project success if defined with quality and timely deliver.

  • Customer satisfaction: It's a crucial in every project finally customer satisfaction is more important because they are the end users of the project.

  • Scope: This is another factor which defines the scope and durability of the project and future fulfill requirements of customers and market scope for the project.

  • Schedule: Schedule delivery of project is very important in every project because there are some timelines that are already defined by the clients to release the project on time so timely delivery of project helps to deliver early project.

  • Team satisfaction: Team that are working on the project needs to be satisfied by their work.Before submitting the project to the client and celebrate the project success.

All the above mentioned criteria needs to be followed and analysed to identify the success rate of the project.because each criteria needs to be satisfied and delivered effectively so that project can be more success.The information that is available related to the company is more important.

2 Evaluate past project records?

Post Implementation review (PIR) needs to be conducted to evaluate the past project records.These process will review the previous projects records to decide the organization is capable of delivering the project in an effective way.

  • Determine whether the project objective and goals were achieved or not

  • Project gap analysis define how often projects are delivered and successful

  • Analyzing the satisfaction of stakeholders and clients

  • Determining its cost and benefits

  • Steps taken to develop project improvements

  • Is organization followed Innovative steps during project development

  • Identifying the lessons learned from the past projects
