I would like to cover the disease of "Anxiety Disorder".

How the disease process occurs?

The anxiety disorder occurs when a person is having recurring intrusive thoughts or concerns. Once anxiety becomes chronic and prolonged with time, it reaches the stage of a disorder and it can interfere with daily functions.

Reasons for treatment:

The excessive anxiety can make a person avoid work, school, family get-togethers, and other social situations that might trigger or worsen the person's symptoms. These may affect overall health of body. So, it requires treatment.

Common symptoms:

  • restlessness, and a feeling of being “on-edge”
  • uncontrollable feelings of worry
  • increased irritability
  • concentration difficulties
  • sleep difficulties, such as problems in falling or staying asleep

Treatment approach:

Treatments will consist of a combination of psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, and medication.
