Post an explanation of the barriers of resistance you might face as an executive director trying to get board members to commit to strategic planning and thinking. Explain how you maintain a relationship with the board while addressing and overcoming these barriers.
The biggest problem of strategic planning is the problem.
Ultimately, the strategy is to allocate resources to those areas,
which will have a huge positive impact on enabling the organization
to fulfill its mission and its vision. Thus, strategies have the
potential to have a significant impact on how an organization does
business. These potential changes can jeopardize the current
situation and are generally not known when a strategic plan is
committed. In other words, what we have found is that most of the
obstacles in planning are the result of potential or changes in the
organization as a result of the implementation of the strategy. The
following are high-level frameworks for the implementation of the
strategy and how these operational issues may be the main reasons
for the strategic plan.
People
Individuals may perceive that their role has been changed or
eliminated. The hospital foundation, for example, develops its own
strategic plan and makes significant changes from special events to
planned deliveries. As a result, many people at special events know
that this area will no longer be the focus of the organization and
worry about what their role in the organization will be or what
their role will be. Anyway.
System
These systems refer to the organization's technology systems.
Organizational systems are designed to increase the efficiency of
what is being done. These systems receive data in a specific format
over a period of time and translate this data into specific
information types in a predefined format. Therefore, our existing
system infrastructure is generally aimed at maintaining the current
status. The possibility of a change that could make this apple cart
possible could be beneficial. This, for example, can affect a
person’s job function or lead to significant financial investments
to improve systems that can attract funds from other pet
projects.
Process
Processes are those ways in which we use the population system and
organizational structure to perform tasks. Process is the glue that
binds current systems, people and structures together. Therefore,
any change in strategy can have a significant impact on the
process. To continue as an example of a hospital foundation, an
administrative officer at the foundation is entering the names and
contact information of all those who register to attend the many
special events they hold each year. With efforts to reduce special
events and to invest in their planned delivery, there is concern
that the process of entering contact data from special events will
become part-time.
Structure
The structure represents the organizational structure through the
roles of staff and the relationship with the report as well as the
governing structure of the council. We often see and coordinate
changes in the organizational structure of the organization to make
it better with the new direction developed as part of its strategic
plan.
