What is the differences between :

Mass-to-charge ratio
Charge-to-mass ratio
Charge-to-size ratio

I'm confused about these three terms ?

Solutions

Expert Solution

1) Mass-to-charge ratio = mass/charge

mass to charge ratio = m/z   = atomic or molecular mass/charge

The number of electrons removed is the charge number (for positive ions). m/z represents mass divided by charge number

example : for Cl+       mass to charge ratio = 35.5 /1

for Mg+2   ion mass to charge ratio = 24 /2

for CH3COO-    ion mass to charge ratio = 59/1

2) Charge-to-mass ratio

it is completely reverse of first one

Charge-to-mass ratio   = charge/mass

                                    = z/m

example :

for Cl+    Charge-to-mass ratio = 1/35.5

for Mg+2    Charge-to-mass ratio = 2/24

3) Charge-to-size ratio   = charge/size

Examples:

suppose Mg+2 size= 0.65A0

              Ca+2 size= 0.99A0

              Sr+2 size= 1.13A0

charge to size ration of Mg+2    = 2/0.65

charge to size ration of Ca+2    = 2/0.99

charge to size ration of Sr+2    = 2/1.13

I'm a little confused as to what exactly I'm researching and writing about. If someone could break it down and give me a few minor examples so I can structure the essay around it I would really appreciate it: (Intel 80x86, ARM, MIPS R4000 )Write a two page report on the similarities and differences are of these architectures. Include in your report what you find interesting about the architectures you researched.

ANSYS Fluent I'm a beginner in the field. Now I am confused about some settings. I'm doing a analysis job to compare the difference between a car with rear wing and the other one without rear wing. First, I don't sure which car (the one with rear wing or the one without rear wing)should have a bigger Cd value, somebody says that cars with rear wings will increase drag as well as downforce, is that right ? Second, I always...

I'm confused about this one.... Portfolio Required Return Suppose you manage a $4.6 million fund that consists of four stocks with the following investments: Stock Investment Beta A $500,000 1.50 B 350,000 -0.50 C 900,000 1.25 D 2,850,000 0.75 If the market's required rate of return is 9% and the risk-free rate is 4%, what is the fund's required rate of return? Do not round intermediate calculations. Round your answer to two decimal places.
