Whether or not there is a direct link, who should be responsible for determining the safety of the public? Is this the scientific community’s issue, the business’s (such as the cell phone manufacturers) responsibility, or the government's concern? And what type of proof do we need before justifying spending large sums of money on research??
It is the collective responsibility of all units of society. Symbolic interactionism showcases the need to have an environment that builds a healthy framework for each individual, that collectively build a society.
Our environment that which we construct ourselves, and is constituent of all the factors and domains that go on to build it.
The government is the representative of the people, hence it is an onus upon them to make and determine the safety of its people, who have elected them for a reason. The scientific community showcases the various researches that have been conducted for the apparent betterment of the collective human society, the weight of the responsibility galls equally, if not on their shoulders as well.
All the MNC's thst cater to the consumer have a duty to inform the public about the truth relagrding their products and services rather than exploiting their emotional and physical being for means of profit.
There needs to be a proper panel committee that should review a novel research in order to ensure the ethical and moral considerations that might surround it. And, thekr needs to be careful thought with respect to the good of the society after which the money should be sanctioned.
The failure of compliance to the criteria should disuade the law sanctioning.
