Define the bystander effect. How can one avoid this effect in an emergency situation?
Define the bystander effect: Bystander effect is psychological theory which explains about the helping nature of people when they are in group. According to this theory, people in the large group don't like to offer help to the person in emergency situation.And people in small group like to offer help to the person in the emergency situation. This is happening because the responsibility of individual to save that person is very low when he is in large group. And the responsibility of individual to save that person is very high when he is in small group. That's why person in the emergency situation receiving help from surrounded small group than larger group.
How can one avoid this effect in an emergency situation?
