The Lewin model was developed was developed to summariz what Lewinn believed werethe basic steps in good plan change.The Lewin model determines that to move an organisation from point A to point B first we should create compelling and motivating reasons. to change ?(unfreeze).Then implement and install the necessary changes(transition)to the way we wish for things to be.Then aim to stablizethe operation (freeze)at a better and/or higher level of performance.
This
model workswhether the changes are strategic and incremental or reactive oranticipatory change.
We can determine how performance should validated using Lewin model these ways:
Unfreeze:1. Determine what needs to change.Survey the the organization to understant the current state.Understand why change has to take place.
2. Ensure there is strong support from senior management.
3.Create the need to change.Communicate the vision in terms of the change required.Manage and understand the doubts.
Change : Communicate throughout the planning and implementation of the change.Prepare everyone for what is coming.Dispel rumours.Answer questios openly and honestly.Empower action.Involve people in the proccess.
Refreeze : Anchor the changes into the culture. Identify what barriers to sustaining change.Ensure leadership surpport. Create a reward system.Celebrate succeess.
Peer review : Peer review is the evaluation of the work by one or more people of similarcompetence to the producers of the work.It constitutes the form of self regulation by qualified members of the profession.Peer review method are employed to maintain standards of quality,improve performance and provide creditibility.
