using your sociological imagination, why is the transmission of cultural norms and values a complex process in diverse societies such as the United States. How can schools cope with this problem in the future.

There has been an advent of globalization throught out the world. This happends due to the invention of technology which helped just to know what is going on in the world. People are understanding the fact that there are different types of person through out the world having different beliefs, attitude, values, etc. Knowledge has helped us to have our individual perspective.

Trasmission of culture is a process where cultural element like practices, values, customs, attitudes are being adopted by the a person with a different culture. In the U.S people belonging from different cultural background have getting settled down. The dominant culture of the U.S has influenced the people belonging from different communities as they adopt their cultural values and  behaviors so that they can match up with the present society of the U.S.

In the schools with the manifest functions and laten functions of education will help to cope with this problems in future. Manifest functions helps to teach about the end result of different types of activities. In the education system the student should be taught particular subjects like history, science, reading, english and science. And the laten functions will help in kknowing the hidden outcomes of some activities which can be unintended.
