Education reform had occurred with the intent of bringing about changes in public domain. There have been different reforms in the educational system. Major changes have occurred since 1980s where there have been changes brought about in the current system. The major changes that came in the US were with the encouragement of public education which would become the major source of education for the young people. There had been several issues in education in the 21st century, which included:

• Long schools days
• Tutoring after school
• Smarter sizes of classes
• Better quality of teachers
• Greater credentials
• Better pay to attract applicants that are more qualified
• Tracking drop out rates as well as their reduction
• Textbooks as well as curriculum standards

Some reforms include:
